General Information
Ages for which our activities are most appropriate:
Madrona Marsh and Nature Center - closed on Mondays When You Visit the Marsh: When visiting the Preserve, please wear appropriate clothing for the season and current weather conditions. Be aware that a morning or afternoon breeze can drop the temperature several degrees, so it might be a good idea to carry a jacket or sweater. The primary paths of the Preserve are hard-packed sandy soil, and most are wheelchair-accessible, except right after a heavy rain. For our more adventurous visitors we recommend sturdy, closed-toed shoes for off-trail walking. We suggest also using sunscreen and carrying a container of water for longer outings. You may greatly enhance your marsh experience by bringing binoculars. Binoculars may also be borrowed at the Nature Center front desk.
